Material refinery A material refinery is an industrial process plant where diverse material is processed and refined into more useful products such as gas, liquid or solid fuel, heat, energy, fertilizers, fabric, construction materials, and ash.

The concept is analogous to the oil refinery and the bio refinery, but is utilizing larger choice of materials.

Material refinery is a future vision of waste management.
