I was born in Brooklyn, New York and was raised primarily in the Derwood area near Rockville, Maryland. I attended the University of Maryland and graduated in 1992 with a degree in electrical engineering. I worked for IBM and as a contractor for AlliedSignal Avionics before becoming a stay-at-home mom. My husband, our three daughters, and I reside in Parkland, Florida. I currently blog at Frugal Follies, where I share cheap recipes and money-saving tips.
