About Me

edit

My hobbies include playing volleyball, participating in track and field, weightlifting, and traveling. I have played volleyball for 11 years now, and competitively for the last 6 years. I got into track and field in middle school and I still participate as a junior in high school. The events I participate in include Discus, Shot put, and Javelin. Just this year I have started olympic weightlifting which I think it so much fun. Studies show that if you include just a little bit of weightlifting into your workout routine, you lower your risk of getting injured. When building your muscle base, it helps your overall movement, balance, conditioning, and lowers your chances of getting injured. [1] I do love to travel, and I have been to 27/50 states and 12 countries around the world.

Article Evaluation

edit

I have always been a fan of Thomas Rhett, and I actually got to attend one of his concerts last summer. Like many other people, I know a lot about him, so when I found his Wikipedia page, it was completed in-depth with a lot of facts. So I thought that I could add some insight and information about a tour with a show that I was able to attend. I visited the article Very Hot Summer Tour article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: Is each fact cited with an appropriate, reliable source? Is the article up-to-date? and, Is anything left out of the article that should be there?

The first question that I chose to answer is, Is each fact cited with an appropriate, reliable source? In my opinion, no, each fact is not cited with a reliable source. The tour dates used Vivid Seats blog post as information on who would be at the tour. But, I believe that the information should come from Thomas Rhett’s actual website because there it shows that Rhett Akins and Russel Dickerson would not have been at the Tacoma Dome tour date.

The second question I will answer is, Is the article up to date? I believe that this article is indeed up to date. It includes all tour information from the beginning to the end. The tour took place in 2019, so of course the article is fairly recent, being that it just took place 1.5 years ago.

The final question I will answer is, Is anything left out of the article that should be there? Well, is there anything? In my opinion, yes. The article states in a table that when Thomas Rhett came to Tacoma, Washington, he brought with him Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson, and Rhett Akins. When in fact, Dustin Lynch was the only one that came. So therefore I think the article should be updated to show that Dustin Lynch and Thomas Rhett were the only two to perform that night.

Overall, I think the Very Hot Summer Tour wikipedia article was well written. Although there were a few minor mistakes, it wouldn’t hurt someone’s knowledge in the grand scheme of things. Someone probably wouldn’t be concerned that on one date there were only two artists instead of 4.
