National Association of Gonjaland Students Ghana formerly known as GOLSA now turns NAGS. The former acronym GOLSA represents Gonjaland Students Association. Thus, GOLSA represented students from Savanna Region, that is students from Gonjaland communities in Ghana regardless their ethnic groups or differences for about decades. The acronym GOLSA was later transformed to NAGS which stands for National Association of Gonjaland Students to meet the current needs of it's members and the nation at large. The Association has chopped a lot of success which include building a unique constitution to cater for the effective and efficient running of the Associations affairs. Expanding or broaden it's scope of services to cover branches/members who were not recognised. NAGS Ghana also known as NAGS Gh has branches across tertiary institutions and Senior High Schools. Some of the branches include: University of Ghana, University of Education across it's three campuses, University of Development Students across the three campuses, Tamale College of Education, Bagabaga College of Education, Bimbila College of Education, Islamic University College, etc and all Senior High Schools in Ghana. It is the dream of the Association to develop and implement new educational policies to cater for the primary school children in Savanna Region.
