Hi I'm Steve, 22 years and counting, resident of Norfolk, and student at the University of Nottingham, England, U.K. My username is Laydsb because Layd is the beginning of my university email address and S.B. are my initials. How clever!
I'm quite new to Wikipedia (about 1 and a half years intermittently, not regular editor) so please forgive me for any mistakes or late replies to messages. Although I do have some created articles under my belt - for any Simple Minds fans, check out Someone Somewhere in Summertime and any improvements and suggestions will be much appreciated. Others I started: - Speed Your Love to Me - Up on the Catwalk - Promised You a Miracle
I noticed this band were lacking in many singles articles, unlike many far less successful, notable, or influential bands you see. I mean, The Enemy? The Fratellis? Yet the most successful Scottish band of all time (BBC iplayer claim, not mine) are hardly accounted for? They were big hits! Famous hits!
I'm not actually a musical person - I can't play anything - I just enjoy these bands and have some books on them and the Manic Street Preachers for instance, so I'd like to contribute to bringing their albums articles to standard if I can.
Thanks for allowing me on Wikipedia and look forward to meeting you. S.B.
