Regarding Maxim reverts

edit

Hmm. You make a fair point, but I'm not 100% sure I agree. While the viewpoint being expressed was a good bit more articulate and fair, if an opinion like "jole's mom is a slut" can be jotted down as vandalism, why can't these? I know it's really not important in the long run, I'm just trying to express my stance here. I would classify disruptively utilizing any page as a soapbox, whether eloquently or obscenely, to be fair game to name as vandalism. Either way, I've tried to explain the situation to the editor in question, and I doubt further trouble will come of it, as their intentions seem essentially positive. Again, I'm not offended or perturbed, I'm just explaining where I'm coming from on this. - Vianello (talk) 05:36, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Well, shoot. I can't really dispute the policy you've cited, so I guess you've got me on that point. I do appreciate the input, as I realize you're being helpful here. I'm guessing, hopefully not wrongly, that reverting a string of several consecutive vandalous edits counts as one revert. Otherwise, that may cause a little trouble for Twinkle users! Anyway, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll keep this info in mind for the future. - Vianello (talk) 05:56, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Pixel Reverts

edit

Hey LD100,

So I'm still pretty new here at wikipedia, an have been trying to improve the 'pixel' article, to make it a little more factual and try and ground it in computer graphics and imaging.. And I notice you just reverted a big chunk of changes from the last week or so. Like, I mean, that's fine and all, it is 'the encyclopedia anyone can edit' after all. But it'd be nice to know *why* the reverts, rather than which software was used to revert them..

Anyways...

Fair cop and Noted - thanks :D

Question

edit

Hi, Ld100! I was just wondering about one thing a couple minutes ago: when you're reverting vandalism with Huggle, do you ever take a time to look over it and see if it's actually vandalism? Just wondering, thanks! SchfiftyThree 23:30, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
