Chili and Sichuan pepper are often added to the Chongqing diet.
Hot pot
editHot pot is one of the most representative foods in Chongqing.
It originated in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties of China. And it began as a catering for ship workers and slimers at the docks along the river.
But with the development of society, hot pot has now become an indispensable diet for Chongqing people.
Chongqing hot pot can be cooked in any food, no limit. |
And in the '9 grids-traditional Chongqing hot pot'(九宫格老火锅), a lattice made of stainless steel is usually put into the hot pot.
The function of grid is the planning area, can be everyone with different grid, or can be different vegetables in different grid.
But the grid doesn't have to be nine, it can be replaced.
