About Leonard McCoy
editLeonard McCoy discovered Virtua Fighter I on the PC in 1996, and began playing the series from then on. Later on, he discovered all the great games by Yu Suzuki, such as Shenmue, or the classics like Hang-On. Being disappointed by Virtua Fighter 4 he more and more turned towards the then dated Virtua Fighter 3tb. Leonard is still of the opinion that the evade button was a good solution to the problem of evading into the 3rd dimension in battles; VF4 and VF5 suffer from over-assigned moves, as the possible input combinations of three buttons (P, K and G) are limited - according to him. Now, having returned to the newest title of the franchise on the Xbox 360, Virtua Fighter 5, he tries to get into the matter again, carefully writing every technique down and commenting on strategies, and tactics. Leonard is a fan of VF5’s online mode claiming it to be the best invention of the series since Virtua Fighter 3.
In real life Leonard (whose real name is Robert) went through several martial arts, such as fencing (for 7 years), Judo, and Jeet Kune Do. He now considers himself to be somewhat lazy, more and more getting into music, literature, and, of course, good videogames. Contact Information
