New Jersey Firearms Academy (NJFA) is a firearms training school located in Jersey City, New Jersey. Founded in 2000 by NRA-certified chief instructor Lateif Dickerson, NJFA is the only school in Jersey City for firearms safety and training. They offer a wide spectrum of courses including Knife Defense, Use of Force, Range Safety Officer Training, Home Safety, "Refuse To Be A Victim" training, Personal Protection; NRA-certified training includes, Canine Unit, Self-Defense, First Aid, CPR, Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun.
The New Jersey Firearms Academy employs a dozen instructors to teach and advise both beginners and professionals. Students are expected to be active participants in the learning process. Most programs offered focus on comprehensive work that builds upon one another, beginning with simple information and tasks and culminating with complex and detailed endeavors.
