Litwayi or Litwayi Sachipango Mazeze is a Zambian Optometrist and Dispensing Optician working for the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka the Capital City.He was Born Litwayi Vihuli Mazeze on 18th November 1989 to Parents Shelly Kabeta a Nurse at Kitwe Centra Hospital and Patrick Mazeze a Banker and later Teacher At Saint Johns Convent School in Kitwe. Litwayi is the First of Four Children in a family of 3 brothers and a sister.

Mr Mazeze started his education from River rain Primary School in 1995 at age 5, There were very few schools in his neighborhood of Ndeke Village Leaving the young boy to walk through a bush that separated

Ndeke Village and Nkana East. After a traumatic event that ended in the young Litwayi being robbed of His School

bag by a mad person in the same bushes, His father sought to have him transferred to another school. Miseshi Primary,

Wesley Nyirenda Primary, Kamuchanga Primaryin Mufurila, Yotam Muleya Primary in Lusaka, and Kamitondo Basic School 

where in 2002 He graduated as the best Grade 7 pupil. He did His High school at Mukuba High School in Kitwe.

While at Mukuba He enjoyed playing Chess, Volleyball and Football. He was a Prefect in his final year, He also served as JETS Club Vice President and A Debate Club Member. He was good in the Sciences but also loved business studies. After graduating from High school in 2007 Mr Mazeze was awarded a Scholarship to Study Optometry and Optics In Cuba. While there He Participated in Scientific presentations, Music expositions with His guitar, played Chess with other students and was awarded the Golded Award after graduating with a GPA of 4.75.

He Speaks three international Languages and 4 Local languages, this has also allowed him to work as an interpreter. His highlight was when He was part of the Spanish translators at the 2018 Alliance for Financial inclusion Conference in Livingstone, Zambia. He still plays guitar at his Church.

Litwayi is a devout Seventh Day Adventist who was introduced to the faith at an early age by an Aunt. He has Served in His Church in the Health Committee rendering help during health related events and volunteering for health promotions.


Upon Graduation He returned to Zambia in 2014 and was employed by a private Hospital in Lusaka. He later worked for Lusaka Eye Hospital for a short period then Joined Chainama Hills College as a Tutor and Clinician. He is Currently working For University Teaching Hospital as an Optometrist and Dispensing Optician. Part of His work involves work in collaboration with One Sight Zambia in an Optical Laboratory that provides Services to 45 Districts in Zambia. Litwayi is Passionate about Eye health as seen by His Facebook activities and Voluntary Lecturing He does at Levy Mwanawasa Medical University. He is a fully registered Optometrist under the Health Professions Council of Zambia.


His other interests include Graphic design, Data Science and writing articles. Mr Mazeze He is Currently an MBA student but is planning to a Masters Degree in Operations management, Public Health, Occupational Health, Clinical Optometry and another in Health Economics and Policy. If God wills.
