Demographics
editAgriculture being the most prominent occupation in the village, majority of population is dependent on extensive farming. It is a prominant village of sugar belt area in West U.P. The land here is very fertile. Sugarcane, wheat rice, pulses and green vegetables are the main crops. The main source of income here is the trading of commodities. The village has a famous Shiva Temple, built by prominant personality of the village Late Sri Mukhram Sharma, in memory of his father Late Sri Nainshukh Sharma. Apart from that, there is another Shiva temple near to the village. The raised water level in the village is also a major contributing factor of the extensive farming in the area. Apart from that, mangoes gardens are also commonly found. The famous variety of mango called as Dusseri is famous in the area. The village has a Government Primary school and a Higher Secondary School.
