About David Lloyd
editThis is my usual, Internet nickname; whilst it might seem strange to a lot of people, it was my username at Flinders University and it has stuck. The 0076 has nothing to do with my birth year, although I was born on the 30th of April, 1975. Interesting events that occured on this year included:
- the official surrender of the South Vietnam forces to the Vietcong in the Vietnam War
- the sacking of the Australian Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam in favour of Malcolm Fraser
- record world oil prices
My interests include computing, Unix, Linux and the philosophy of world religions. I also enjoy cooking and spending time with interesting people talking about interesting topics!
Employment
editI currently work for Microbits, a computer supplier in South Australia. I am a Linux technician and am currently developing a Linux Distribution, based on Debian, to install on end users' computers.
