OpenDocMan (ODM) is a popular[1] open source document management system designed to be used as a centralized document repository for individuals, and small to medium businesses. The product comes in two versions: a free community edition that is installed on your local server, and a hosted software as service version (SaaS) hosted in the Rackspace Cloud. OpenDocMan’s features, which include document access control, change approval, and version tracking, are designed to help organizations manage their documents and ensure compliance to ISO 17025.

OpenDocMan is written in PHP and utilizes the Apache Web Server and the MySQL database management system. An installer page provides end-users with a one-click install and update of database information.

OpenDocMan is released under GPL Version 2.
