History
editOfficeLogic was first published in 1991 as a stand-alone e-mail, scheduling, real-time chat, phone messaging desktop application. A distinguishing characteristic was the small TSR (terminate and stay resident) footprint. As a DOS application, it would use only 7k of RAM and would automatically load into "upper memory". The closest competitor at the time was cc:Mail with a 60k "notify-only" client. Using file sharing techniques it allowed small to medium sized networks using Novell Netware, Banyan Systems, Artisoft LANtastic, Windows for Workgroups, Linux, Unix, and others to leverage the infrastructure for more productivity. It was formerly sold under the name Right Hand Man between 1986 and 1991. Several OEM versions have been available in the past including versions for PowerLAN (PowerMail), LANtastic (Scheduling only), and others.
Current
editThe current version of the OfficeLogic Groupware client is 9.09 as of February 2010. The current version of OfficeLogic InterChange is 4.21. OfficeLogic I-Net, OfficeLogic Remote, and Office-Logic Host are updated as the Groupware program is updated.
