Lori Nayehalski is an author, screenwriter, artist, and entrepreneur.

In 2017, Lori’s life changed considerably after leaving her 21-year career in the Natural Gas Industry.

She moved her family to Miami and embarked on a journey to London for a screenwriting class.

Lori’s father Edward became extremely ill with a rare form of bone cancer and unfortunately death knocked on Edward’s door rather quickly.

As Lori grieved, she found a deep sense of solace by delving into the world of her character as an escape, along with the rediscovery of happiness.

On February 6, 2019, she completed her first screenplay, “There Once was a Girl from Nantucket”.

Upon screenwriter / attorney reviews, Lori was told the movie had a higher success rate if the book was written and became a best seller.

She decided to put the idea of a movie on the back burner while she continued healing from the loss of her father.

Relocating to Mooresville, North Carolina, Lori longed to escape the painful loss as well as a change of scenery to help her heal.

Lori connected with a spiritual healer who revealed, she was not alone, and that her father was not only her leading spirit guide but her angel, as well. On August 7, 2019, Lori’s Birthday, she began painting in earnest, and her paintings soon inspired a significant part of her life.

In a single month, Lori created over 400 paintings, and experienced a deep and profound “life and soul changing” experience that has enhanced a more profound and meaningful life, and future.

Lori retreated to her favorite vacation spot, St. Barth’s, in September 2019 and switched gears by creating another movie, SBH Bound. During this trip Lori befriended several people including an exceptionally influential woman whom she shared her artwork. The woman who compelled and inspired her to repurpose her artwork as fabric.

Returning home with Act One written, and a new vision for her artwork she ordered several select fabrics and an industrial sewing machine.

The idea and business of being a fashion and fabric designer enthralled her. Still feeling uneasy and unsure she sought the sage of her Angel Ed to help validate her new-found purpose.

A vision of her father revealed him wearing a crown point at the curtains. Lori then developed Pearl Edward Home and created couture curtains. Iterating on her original concept, she was intent on working with a business launch company. However, the investment required was beyond her current resource.

She then chose to revisit her writing and with grit and a clearer vision while also listing and selling her home. Drawn and inspired to California, she and her family moved to Laguna Beach, California in March 2020.

That same month COVID-19 and the pandemic put the nation on lockdown including her school.

Although unique, she considers COVID-19 a gift, and a reminder of what is profoundly important. She and her daughter, Genevieve, frolic and frequent the local beaches of Laguna and made fast friends with the locals and close neighbors.

Soon after the beaches were declared closed, she realized she needed to continue being creative with her time and energy.

Committed to painting as a professional artist, she forged a major increase of textile designs illustrating her new artwork, and boasts a catalog of over 20,000 designs, thus arousing a new line of merchandise, Beach Umbrella’s.

On June 30, 2020, Pearl Edward Beach www.pearledwardbeach.com was launched, and the first delivery arrived in mid-September 2020. Choosing eight of her favorite designs and color choices she embarked on serving her upscale marketplace.

Establishing the opportunity to be creative with color and textile again, Laguna Beach Tie Dye - a beautiful mess, was also born. A result of the playful experimentation with tie dye tea towels.

An opportunity in a team environment showed on transferring “There Once was a Girl from Nantucket” from the screenplay into the book. Her original dream would come to fruition and the team began in earnest.

Once the Pearl Edward Beach inventory arrived, and she began marketing and selling.

Keeping ‘flow open’ she has learned to be mindful of the golden signs of life as they present themselves to serve as a trusted guide as to what is best for her and those she loves to lead a most authentic and fulfilling life.

Lori says that this time in her life she was broken, however, she was broken open!
