Lorinzo McCoy was born in Chicago, Illinois to mother Helen McCoy and father Willie McCoy. While attending high school at Lindblom Technical High School, Lorinzo was a standout athlete as he played varsity baseball and football, and also competed in the city wide competition as a member of the Latin language team. After high school was recruited by Chicago Bears Super Bowl corner back and Trinity College head football coach to play college football in Deerfield, Illinois. After the death of his mother, Lorinzo decided to leave college and join the United States Navy where he spent the next four years. After his time in the Navy Lorinzo tried his hand at the U.S. Army and finished his time in service to his country as a Staff Sargent. Lorinzo Also had the privalege of being cast in several feature films which was afforded to him as a result of him being a 3rd degree black belt in the martial art of hapkido, which he received his 1st degree after training in The Republic of Korea. Lorinzo also attended University of Illinois at Chicago, Harper College, and Elgin Community College.
