Latress On The Menjay
edit
Latress On The Menjay is a pop-punk band from Braintree, Massachusetts. The band was formed by Logan O' Brien and Ryan Kelly. The band started off playing acoustic sets containing covers and original compositions. A year down the road they picked up drummer Luke Lambert, and the duo became a trio. Later on, Billy Kane joined the band as bassist, but left a month later due to personal issues. Since the band is currently between bass players, they are playing acoustic sets with a pop-punk feel.
The band has been through many names such as "Ain't Want None Ya Gummie Bears", "Last Sunrise", and "Melena Cass Blvd.", but the latest on the list is "Latress On The Menjay". The name derives from the movie I Love You, Man, starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel. Paul Rudd plays an awkward character that is always unintentionally coming up with nonsensical phrases, such as "Latress On The Menjay!" when bidding farewell at the conclusion of a telephone conversation.
