Hello Internet Animated
editOn 5 September 2014, the first episode of Hello Internet Animated was released on YouTube.[15] Their production are almost entirely done by animator fan "Dovsky". Dovsky takes short and memorable audio clips from various episodes and loosely animates them with Brady and Grey caricatures. Length ranges from about 1-3 minutes. They are sparsely released, with a current total of 9 episodes.
Hello Internet Culture
editTims
editThe audience as a collective (or singular or subgroup) are given the name Tim. "Tim likes to talk to other Tims on Reddit after listening to a new episode." The origin of this trend came from the 'calling out' and 'talking to' of a person named Tim[citation needed]. With an audience large enough, someone listening was bound to be named Tim.

Hotstoppers
editHI#49, 43 minutes 30 seconds
In one of his rants about how things should work and talking about the small conveniences of America, Grey complained about the failure of UK Starbucks' have the stick contraption they designed to obstruct the cap-hole of coffee drinks and act as a stirrer. For lack of a better word, Brady coined the term "hotstopper" and Grey agreed it was a good name or "let [it] pass" given the lack of a proper name[16].The term "hotstopper" is based on its functionality of 'stopping the `hot` from coming out of the cup'. After the show, Grey asked @StarBucksUK on Twitter to have them in all Starbucks in the United Kingdom. The hosts eventually turned it into a structured campaign to raise awareness about the issue of hot drink spillages, more specifically their nefarious effects for small children. On October 19 2015, Brady Haran blogged about this initiative and the creation of a fundraising campaign in favour of the Children's Burn Trust.
Adoption of "CGP Grey the penguin"
editBrady had the opportunity to have a dinner at Bristol Zoo with David Prowse(the actor that played Darth Vader) for a charity fund supporting african penguin conservation. Brady was able to organize an event in which tickets to watch Star Wars with Prowse, Brady, and Grey were sold to the HI audience and proceeds donated to the fund.[11] A chick (A20583) was born on March 22, 2015, and named "CGP Grey" by the zoo in thanks to the podcast for helping fundraise. The zoo also made Brady the official adopter of CGP Grey the penguin. They were presented the two certificates the night of the event. Later, it was determined the penguin is female.[17]
Vexillology
editOn many podcast episodes ([citation needed]), Brady and Grey have been discussing flags. Despite not being experts in vexillology.
