Approximately 50 million women in the world have osteoporosis, a metabolic bone disease characterized by low bone density and deterioration of bone architecture that increase the risk of fractures. Osteoporosis-related fractures can increase pain, disability, nursing home placement, total health care costs, and mortality. The diagnosis of osteoporosis is primarily determined by measuring bone mineral density (BMD) using noninvasive dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry. However, urgent strategies should be applied to diagnose it before chronic stage. The rationale of current study is to examine the level of different vitamins, oxidative stress markers and lipid profile in patient associated with osteoporosis. Level of Vitamins, oxidative stress markers and lipid contents will be examined by using ELISA method. We hypothesize that the expression patterns of different vitamins, lipid profile and oxidative stress markers will be altered in that pathological condition.
