editHazrat Sultan Syed Abdul Wahid Shah (R.A) ... Introduction: Hazrat Syed Abdul Wahid Shah (R.A) was a great Saint and Wali Allah (Friend of god) of Mianwali, Pakistan. Date and Place of Birth: Hazrat Sultan Syed Abdul Wahid Shah (R.A) was born on 1st January 1921 at Mohalla Sarmad Khel, Kammar Moshanni, District Mianwali. His Sufi order was Naqshbandi, Sarwari, Qadri. He was greatly inspired by HAZRAT SULTAN BAHU (R.A). He was Naqshbandi but during in his pious life when he was spiritually fixed in a spiritual impasse and could not release, then he went to the shrine of HAZRAT SULTAN BAHU and had contemplation (Chilla) and HAZRAT SULTAN BAHU unconfined him from the problem and took him into his followers, i.e., Sarwari Qadri order. So after that time, Hazrat Sultan Syed Abdul Wahid Shah’s order was Naqshbandi, Sarwari, Qadri. In early life he was ASI in Police and during his service of police, he continuously did offer prayers, nawafil and wazayf. In 1950's he resigned from police service after the order from HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.W). Then he devoted himself completely to Ishq-e-Allah (Love of God) and Ishq-e-Mustafa (S.A.W.W) (Love of Prophet). He was a great personality of Mianwali city of Pakistan. He has thousands of followers in all Pakistan and in world. He passed away at the age of 88 years on 29 January 2009. His funeral prayer offered at main Eid gah of main Mianwali city. Thousands of people attended the funeral prayer. He was laid to rest in the Astana Ghousia, where he passed his pious life. There is a beautiful mosque name, Jamia Masjid Ghousia Wahidia, madrassah and Darbaar shareef. The design of dome of his mausoleum is same as like design of the dome of mausoleum of Hazrat Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi (R.A). His son Sahabzade Syed Mansour Shah Owasi Barelvi is Gadi Nasheen of the same Astana and performing religious duties sound.
