The president of the Maldives (Dhivehi: ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ, romanizedDhivehi Raajjeyge Raeesul Jumhooriyyaa) is the head of state and head of government of the Republic of Maldives. The president is the highest executive authority and the commander-in-chief of the Maldives National Defence Force.
