User:Mackensen/Proposed adminship

Any editor in good standing may be proposed for adminship. An editor shall be considered to be in good standing if he or she has, during the last three months...

  1. Amassed one thousand or more edits.[1]
  2. Not been under sanction from Jimbo.[2]
  3. Not been proposed for adminship, or proposed someone for adminship.

Proposing

edit

Any administrator or editor in good standing may propose another editor in good standing, or themselves, for adminship. This period may last up to five days. If at the end of five days no one has objected to the proposal, then this user shall be promoted.

Objecting

edit

Any administrator or editor in good standing may object to a proposed adminship. If they do so the proposal is terminated and the formerly proposed administrator is submitted to Wikipedia:Requests for adminship for a full hearing. An administrator or editor in good standing is permitted one objection every three months. Jimbo is allowed, ex-officio, unlimited objections.

Format

edit

If another editor is making the proposal he or she is permitted to make a short statement justifying the action. The proposed administrator is invited to make what statements he or she feels appropriate. Typically, a proposed administrator will explain what it is that he or she does on Wikipedia, and why it is that the community should grant him or her the mop. Comments by all other users will be removed.

Notes
