Hello! I am a public policy student interested in climate change and environmental policy. I am specifically very interested in how nuclear energy can be used as a renewable energy source. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, reading, and baking.
During my time as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin Madison, I majored in political science and communication arts. I have decided to pursue my Masters of Public Affairs to focus on how public policy can address environmental racism and the climate crisis. I am interested in environmental issues as I believe we must take action before the impacts of climate change are irreversible.
In recent years I have enjoyed hiking on various trails around the Madison, WI area. Some of my favorites include Devils Lake State Park, various areas of the Ice Age Trail, the University of Wisconsin–Madison Arboretum, and Governor Dodge State Park.
I enjoy reading in my free time, and my favorite genre is mystery and thriller. Some of the recent books I have enjoyed are The Woman in the Window, The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager, The Guest List by Lucy Foley, and The Silent Patient.
In the summer, I make sure to get quite a few good kayaking days in. While I am in Madison, I would like to kayak on all five of the main lakes. So far, I have enjoyed Lake Monona and Wingra. The ones I have left to visit are Lake Mendota, Waubesa, and Kegonsa.
