I'm a 21-year old male living in Melbourne, Australia. I'm currently completing my honours year of a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Melbourne in pure mathematics. I am also interested in other sciences and computer science, and I like to consider myself an English language enthusiast.
I don't tend to make broad changes to articles, usually because I either don't know enough about the topic to improve anything, or because the article is good enough that I can't see any obvious large improvements to make. I content myself with smaller edits - correcting spelling and grammar, adding disambig templates, rewording things for clarity, etc. I also frequent the Mathematics and Science reference desk. I have also been helping out a fair bit with the discussion on 0.999....
I avoid getting involved in Wikipedia politics and feel the same contempt for it that I feel for all politics that occurs in groups of people gathered to pursue a common goal. Whether it's an unavoidable side effect of human nature is largely irrelevent, it simply disgusts me and I have no interest in participating.
