Nick Frost Music
editNick Frost Music is a electronic / acoustic / rock band from Somerset West, South Africa. It is the brainchild of Nick Frost (not to be confused with British Actor Nick Frost) and he is also the only member of this unique project. Due to its upbeat and colorful nature, he decided to pioneer a new genre called "Techno Stripclub".
Band History
editNick Frost took up the "Frost" surname as a homage to his father's band "Black Frost", in which his father was lead guitar and lead vocals. Interestingly, this is the same place where legendary South African guitarist Albert Frost gets name from as well, as their fathers were both in the same band.
Being a drummer for punk band dFrost, he is also an accomplished guitarist and also experimented with electronic music from a young age.
It was inevitable that he would put these three passions together, and Nick Frost Music was formed.
It took a while before he felt ready to play live, but early 2009 he debuted his unique live performance on stage at a live venue in Somerset West, South Africa. On stage he alternates between a gold-colored Gibson Les Paul, an acoustic guitar and drums.
His first album, "Audiogasm", was unofficially released for free download online. His second album will feature a wider range of sounds, and the working title is "Funn".
Association with iamlovechild
editNick Frost, being one of the founding members of iamlovechild, decided to use their resources as a vehicle on which to market Nick Frost Music. Being one of the first groups to use social networking an viral marketing to promote itself, Nick Frost teamed up with Lourens Loki Corleone as his manager / publicist and his lifelong friend Ian Kay as his internet marketer.
