Stephen John Smith (January 15, 1964 - November 16, 1998) was an American AIDS activist and LGBTQ rights activist. He co-founded ACTUP/DC, the Washington, D.C. chapter of the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power, as well as Queer Nation/National Capitol, the Washington D.C. chapter of Queer Nation.[1]
