Mangesh Bhagwant Padki (March 25, 1923 - October 19, 1999) was a Marathi writer from Pune, India. He was married to another well-known Marathi writer Sarita Padki. They met in … and they were married on June 25, 1955 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Early Life and Education
Mr. Padki was born in Karwar, Karnataka, India. His father Bhagwant Bheemrao Padki died when Mangesh was 2 ½ years old.
He got a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and Master of Commerce (MCom) degrees from Mumbai.
Late in his life he got his Ph.D. in Economics from Pune University.
Literary Work
Plays - Rao Jagdeo Martand - was an adaptation in Marathi of the French play Cyrano de Bergerac.
Translations - Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
