Kyrah Brock-Fenton’s first major television role was in 2020 . Kyrah plays Holden Jones in the new series Housos vs Virus in Lockdown on Channel 7 mate , Monday nights 8:30pm.
The show has gone viral with a million views in two days of Holden and her on screen mother Shazza’s fight scene (played by Elle Dawe). Ratings for the first episode were very promising for the show ranking 5th on first episode and being replayed on Channel 7 at 10:40 on Friday night .
Kyrah is a current University student of the University of Newcastle. She is studying Bachelor of Education, English and Drama Teaching . Although her character in Housos is controversial, Holden is a catalyst for discussion providing parents, teens and young adults opportunities to discuss issues they would not normally feel comfortable talking about . Holden is a mirror of her mother Shazza and Kyrah has had rave reviews about her ability to transform herself as an actress.
Kyrah has appeared on stage in both Musicals and plays throughout her life.
Kyrah studied Drama with Xtract Drama Academy for many years and was taught by Danielle Brame Whiting. Her first ever big stage play was at age 11 when Kyrah played Romeo and wanted to make him a bogan. Kyrah had the whole audience in stitches and was highly commended by NIDA teachers.
Kyrah participated in many Drama Eisteddfods with many first places up her sleeve over the years.
At age age 15 Kyrah auditioned for Hunter School of Performing Arts a selective school for Drama, Dance, Singing and Music .
Kyrah was accepted into the school and here is where she learnt alot about Drama and Performance.
Kyrah received a nomination for on stage and participated in many great productions. She completed her HSC in 2019 and graduated with honours in Drama .
Kyrah is mentioned on the honour roll for Drama HSC in 2019 and has been tutoring and mentoring other students throughout 2020.
