United States Marine Corps Recruiting Codes are codes used by United States Marine Corps recruiters to get a new recruit a contract for a training program that covers a specific series of Military Occupational Specialty (MOS). These codes sometimes change depending on training as well as recruiting needs. Codes with an H as the first character are contracts that include a signing bonus. Each program has its own set of requirements including AFQT scores, security clearance, color blindness, as well as other qualifications. Each program also has a different Term of Enlistment (TOE) ranging from four to six years.

Acronyms

The following are acronyms for different sets of composite scores from the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. Further explanation of the breakdown of how each score is calculated can be found on the ASVAB page.^[1]

AFQT - Armed Forces Qualification Test Score (AR + MK + (2 x VE)) GT - General Technical, Special and Officer Programs (VE+AR) MM - General Maintenance, Construction, Utility and Chemical Maintenance (NO+AS+MC+EI EL - Electronics Repair, Missile Repair, Electronics & Communications (GS+AR+MK+EI) CL - Clerical(VE+AR+MK)

All scores have a 3 point waiver unless specified.
