Description of the contribution
editThanks to this project I had the chance to raise awareness about the town where I was born, raised and where I am living at the moment. Nonantola is a small town in the province of Modena, and it is actually renown for its abbey.
I decided to contribute by editing the already existing Italian page because all the sources I could find were in Italian. I’ve added three elements (Torre dei Modenesi, Torre dei Bolognesi and Museo diocesano d’arte sacra e benedettino) to the list of the monuments and updated the history of the town with two of the most recent events (the earthquake of 2012 and the flood of 2020). I also added something about its ancient history, in particular the period between 1058 and 1412.
As far as heritage was concerned, I decided to edit the page of the Partecipanza Agraria instead of the more obvious abbey one, because I think it is a unique feature of my territory and I feel like more people should know about it. I have added something about its constitution and government, some more history and I also have updated the new rules of the transmission line and land division. Lastly, I have described the situation of the institution in 2021.
