I visited the Belly dancing article on wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: First the article seemed to just be focused on the history of belly dancing which is very important but I believe that it's very important establish and show more information about it and the significance of it to different cultures today. I also found that some of the links on the website are dead which affects the credibility of the website. lastly The article seemed to just be focused on things that aren't so much as relevant to the topic.
In the second article it states "The first known use of the term "belly dance" in English is in reference to the Middle Eastern dancers who performed at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1893." Which Is just talking about how the name came about many years ago. Although after that sentence it went on and on about more of the history of how the term "belly dancing" came about for about a third of the article. I believe this may affect the way redures might think while reading this article if they aren't exactly searching for that piece of information about the term.
As I was reading and analyzing some of the different citations and links to the article I found a few dead links that didn't lead to any information. For example in the third indentation it states "The first wave of interest in belly dancing in Australia was during the late 1970s to 1980s with the influx of migrants and refugees escaping troubles in the Middle East, including Lebanese Jamal Zraika." In this sentence Jamal Zraika was cited the the link was dead so there was no other information about the person which can make a reader question whether the fact is true or not.
Lastly I noticed that there was a lot of ongoing information that didn't necessarily need to be inputted into it. The article went on about many different people that had very little to no impact on the topic which I didn't find very important.
All in all This article can be rather useful to some people that may choose to read it. But it also needs to be more closely read into and received some important changes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belly_dance
