b]] MATRIX is an independent Kenyan music duo made up of Marcel and Trixta. Marcel’s official name is Frank Mercel Raburu while Trixta is John Patrique Wambua. They are family friends, both hailing from Kisumu County, Kenya and have been friends since childhood. Both had early music influences in their life; both of them were involved early on with their church and school choirs. Marcel would team up with RICO gang to record two hits; the banger ‘Fuckboy’ and Serereka. He would go solo while working on a couple of projects with Remy Vert. He re-united with Trixta to deadly effect; recording the smash hit ‘Kamutee’, which was followed closely by AREA 51. By this time, it was obvious they were on a similar musical path and MATRIX was formed. Currently working on their debut mixtape: CAUGHT UP IN THE MATRIX. The tape consists of 14 songs and features a wide array of beats done by different producers; POPS MUZIK, Basilo, iamG808, Lord Ronnie and Monk.
