This was a difficult question to answer before I heard Barry Newstead talk at the Good Internet Conference. Systemic global perspective bias remains an unsolved problem, as he related. Mostly nationality is the primary focus of systemic bias. However there are other characteristics of frequent contributors (which I fit), of the young and scientifically-inclined male. It’s not just the Global South that needs focus, it’s the entire compliment of the overrepresented demographic. In Politics of Piracy and other Public Policy courses, already there are potential editors outside the typical category.
