I am a doctoral researcher at London South Bank University, UK. My research focus is systemic leadership and movements. Most recently, I completed an eight-year tenure as an advisor and board member at the Canadian Race Relations Foundation. Previously, I have worked as the Social Innovation Generation practice lead at MaRS Discovery District. As a five-time executive director/CEO, I have scaled up initiatives by establishing partnership networks and building systems that support collaboration and communities of practice. As executive director of Findhelp Information Services, I led the development of the 2-1-1 information system in Canada, which received the Head of the Public Service Award for Excellence in Service Delivery. I worked as a journalist and theatre director before founding a green business in 1989 that changed the course of my work to social innovation and social enterprise. I have an MDes in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University, Canada
Currently, I volunteer with the Systemic Design Association as the executive editor for Contexts—The Systemic Design Journal and proceedings editor and repository manager for Relating Systems Thinking and Design Symposium on RSDsymposium.org.
