The Zero-Dollar
Overview: The zero-dollar is a currency that is no currency whose principle purpose is to account for work, or labor, which is unquantifiable. Time-oriented schemes like the wage system or the salary system by themselves do not account for labor. Since labor is fundamental to modern economics, there is a need to account for it.
The economics of some countries, like the United States, use the credit-system, which is based upon faith; to bill without first being paid is to act faith. A result of that act is that billing and payment are virtually the same. With the zero-dollar, billing and payment are also the same, but the zero-dollar transcends faith. The way that it does that is that it puts into proximity billing and payment and thereby eliminates the need for time and space.
One zero-dollar is an account of a combination of one billing and one commensurate payment. How the zero-dollar accounts for labor is to represent labor as that combination: labor is a payment and a billing. Whereas without the zero-dollar financial and human resource departments are needed in order to account for the labor of individuals, with the zero-dollar individuals account for their own labor.
Now: The zero-dollar is already implicit within modern finances: The major goal of finances is to net zero dollars during transactions. However, such a goal is institutional rather than otherwise. A purpose of the zero-dollar is to fulfill that goal explicitly: the zero-dollar *is* the transaction.
Programming: Individual zero-dollars are electronically programmable, with there being at most six data elements. The names of them are: Billing, Payment, Time-to-Hold, From, To, and Purpose. "Billing" and "Payment" are the commensurate and opposite numerical appreciations of the same. "Time-to-Hold" is how long the zero-dollar should be held. "From" is from where the zero-dollar should come and "To" is to where the zero-dollar should go. Finally, "Purpose" is the kind of labor that the zero-dollar represents. The zero-dollar is reprogrammable; data elements may be cleared or set to new values.
The Future: Any company or governmental agency has the possibility of mass-producing the zero-dollar, be it physical or purely electronic.
