History

edit

Shift was founded by Tobyn Sowden and Michael Foucher, who work together at Redbrick Technologies. While had to maintain many correspondence through email and other collaboration services everyday, they were frustrated about the constant sign in and out with existing web-browsing technology, and decided to create a solution themselves.

The official beta launch was in September 2016, with a subsequent stable release in December 2016.

Shift 2.0 was released in November 2017[1], with major changes in user interface and included ‘unified search’ option.

Features

edit

Shift is compatible with Gmail, Google Inbox, Outlook and Office 365 email accounts. A user can simultaneously operate up to two email accounts in free version and an unlimited number of accounts in pro and advanced version, while staying signed-in for all the corresponding services (G-suite & Office 365) for each of the accounts. An advanced user gets access to a collection of web applications and extensions to use in Shift interface.
