Indigenous genomics is the study of genomics in indigenous human populations. The modern practice of indigenous genomics often emphasizes a partnership between indigenous communities and scientists that allows information to flow to both groups. It also centers indigenous people in the conversation and allows them to have agency over their own genomics.
