Meher Afroz Chumki is a Bangladeshi politician. She is currently the Minister for Women and Children Affairs.[1] She was given the Anannya Shirshodosh award in September 2015.[2]
Biography
editBetween 1996 and 2001, Chumki served in Parliament in the reserved seats for women.She represented the Gazipur-5 constituency.[3] In 2009, she was elected to the Parliament and in 2013, was sworn in as Minister for Women and Children Affairs.[4]
