Help!
editThere is an unregistered user who is constantly vandalizing the Evansville, Indiana page to include a vanity link to his website. The user in question is Evansvilleboneyard and the website in question is Evansville Boneyard. Despite consistent removal by a number of contirbutors, he/she continues to add it back to the Evansville page with such things as "widely read", etc. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest it is encyclopedia worthy and the user should be warned and/or banned. We could really use your help in removing these pointless links and keeping this guy from adding them back.--YHoshua 03:33, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
- User:Evansvilleboneyard has been sending me irate emails lately about the removal of his link from the Evansville, Indiana, article. He's presuming that I'm an admin (I'm not, though several people this week have thought that I am) and therefore able to unblock him. I'd like you to unblock him so that he can make his case at Talk:Evansville, Indiana - and if you send him a message, please stress the need for him to take changes that others have reverted to talk if he wants to put them back. It does seem like YHoshua was overly aggressive about wanting him blocked without giving him any warnings. In any case, I think the edits were in good faith, though the warnings about external links, 3RR, etc. should certainly have been given. If you want me to forward his emails along to you, then just email me. You should probably email him too, in case you haven't already done so. --Idont Havaname 17:35, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
- Updating my previous message, Jareth has unblocked Evansvilleboneyard. --Idont Havaname 21:05, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
Re:Block
editThanks for message. As a fellow Admin I know that alot of people get blocked because they share the same AOL IP. That's why I believe that Wiki should change it's policy from "Everyone can edit" to "Everyone who's registered can edit". This is done in other websites and if a person vandalizes the site then the specific person is punished and not a large group. Anyway, thanks again and take care Tony the Marine 05:34, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

"User freespeech" template
editHelloo.. Saw your free speech thing and thought you might be interested in this template (which is also linked from the WikiProject talk page: {{User:Feureau/UserBox/freespeech}}
A link so you can preview it: {{User:Feureau/UserBox/freespeech}}
Hope you like, it's pretty much the same but will also automatically add you to the Wikipedians against censorship category. :) --Mistress Selina Kyle 17:46, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

Ste. Anne
editThanks for your kind welcome, he who styles himself King of All the Franks. A most auspicious beginning as I can personally trace my lineage three generations before Clovus, the first to use that sorbet. Ste. Anne 06:29, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
Christians not celebrating Christmas...
editI'm pretty sure that anon was in the right. Some conservative Christians (calling themselves "Messianic Jews", or some such nonsense) deliberately boycott pagan Christmas. Try e-mailing this guy (William Schnoebelen) about it. In the spirit of good faith, and the possibility I might be wrong, I won't revert, though. elvenscout742 11:41, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
Moving articles on afd
editIf you move an article that's on afd, please make sure that it still points at the current discussion. I nearly speedied Saw III when I saw it pointing at the old discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saw III instead of the current one at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saw 3. —Cryptic (talk) 15:47, 23 December 2005 (UTC)

Wikifetch
editHi there Mero. Just wanted to find out how you felt about Wikifetch at this precise moment, what with the reshuffling we're having. I'm co-ordinating the lot, it seems, including development, testers, staff etc. If you're still interested in helping out writing the documentation, do let me know.
Season's greetings, Rob Church

Hi. If you don't mind, can you block this user? Recently he's been vandalising a few pages such as Ichigo Kurosaki, Byakuya Kuchiki, Gin Ichimaru and many more character pages that has to do with the anime Bleach. I've already reverted a few of those pages, but soon after I've done so he vandalised them again. I hope you'll do something about this guy before he does anything else bad on this wikipedia. Thanks! RuneScape Quests
edit- Why did you move this page? It was the original page for the combined information, had lasted for over a week and several people had contributed to it. What reason was there? If the other page was the correct one, maybe you should have bothered to write all that information, instead of waiting for me to do all the work on a page that I created, then sweep in and cause a big mess-up, which these two pages now are!! - Bourbons3 19:40, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
- Well now youve created a big mess, one that didnt need to be created - it didnt need to be moved!! Bourbons319:44, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
- Because it was fine where it was, i didnt see any complaints. But this doesnt matter. Someone needs to delete Free RuneScape quests first. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bourbons3 (talk • contribs)

editHi, could you take a look at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#3RR blocks overturned - I think we're all getting a bit bewildered. Cheers. Izehar 22:11, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

editFor restoring the userboxes. Can you also consider undeleting Wikipedia:Userboxes/Religion since it is the home of many of those you restored. Ian13ID:540053 11:08, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, its back again. :P Ian13ID:540053 11:10, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, Wikipedia:Userboxes/Beliefs and Wikipedia:Userboxes/Seasonal also went. - Tony_Sidaway (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA) deleted all of the userboxes within them all, and destroyed the pages. Leaving thousands of red links. Rather incivil about it on IRC and did not reply on his talk. Ian13ID:540053 11:17, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
Neutral RFA votes with no comment
editI notice your neutral votes on RFAs, NickCatal's and Jasenlee's specifically, with no comment or description. I don't mean to imply anything, but what is the point? Without any comment on your reasoning, a neutral vote like yours is pretty much useless. Again I don't mean to imply anything bad, I'm just wondering why. Raven4x4x 08:26, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. Just wondering :) Raven4x4x 12:22, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
