Lucid Desktop, also known as Lucid (previously known as Psych Desktop) is an open source web desktop licenced under the Academic Free License[2], it is coded in PHP5.[3] It is a member of the Dojo Foundation.[4][5]
The project participated in the GoPHP5 intuitive, an initiative helping software developers to utilize the new features in PHP5 by persuading hosts to switch to PHP 5.[6][7]
The project is to be renamed Lucid Desktop.[8][9]
ComputerWorld, an IT magazine, listed Lucid Desktop as one of 25 highly anticipated open-source releases in 2009.[10]
It has yet to release a stable release in its two years of development.
