Myke Cole is an American author of military science fiction, and a military reservist. He was born in New York City. His novel, Shadow Ops: Control Point, was published by Ace (Penguin) in February, 2012.
Control Point started the Shadow Ops series. The series follows the Supernatural Operations Corps, a military organization tasked with employing soldiers with magical talents. He was re-signed by Ace for an additional three books in early 2013.[1]
Myke also maintains a personal blog.
Accolades
editThe series has been described as "Black Hawk Down meets the X-Men" by Peter V. Brett. Jack Campbell is quoted as saying, "Cross The Forever War with Witchworld, add in the real world modern military of "Black Hawk Down", and you get Control Point, the mile-a-minute story of someone trying to find purpose in a war he never asked for."

Military career
editMyke served three tours in Iraq. His career has included stints in Federal Law Enforcement, a Counterterrorism unit, and work in Cyber Warfare. As a military reservist, he has also been recalled to assist in clean-up for the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.[4]
He credits his military career for providing the discipline necessary to write novels.[5]
