Mosaic Metals is a custom metal fabrication shop and design studio founded by Geza Gergo in 2000 in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY and transplanted in 2003 to the Bay Area, CA. He earned a bachelor's degree in Architecture from Cooper Union and a master's degree in Structural Engineering from the University of British Columbia in Canada. Geza is a structurally certified MIG welder GMAW 3G & 4G (vertical and overhead).
Geza follows design through respect and curiosity for nature's beauty and efficiency of structure and form. He strives to incorporate traditional fabrication tools and techniques with advances in engineering analysis, form-finding software, parametric design and CNC production techniques to ensure quality and economy of work.
Shop equipment capabilities: CNC plasma, laser & waterjet, cold saw & band saw cutting, lathe & milling machining, drilling, tap and die, portable magnetic drilling, shear and brake forming, rolling & bending, TIG & MIG welding in steel, stainless & aluminum; overhead crane lifting.
