Professional History

edit

I began my professional career during my undergraduate years. I worked for a year and a half as a civil engineering intern at Dewberry & Davis (now called "Dewberry"), in Fairfax, VA. Later, I worked as an intern for the United States Army Corps of Engineers' Navigation Data Center, at Fort Belvoir, helping them develop a GIS for analysis of their geographic data.

In 1993, after receiving a B.S. in Urban Systems Engineering from George Mason University, I found an opportunity to leverage my expertise in GIS and software development. I worked as a contractor at the Topographic Engineering Center, another organization within the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Here, I developed software to streamline terrain database generation for visual and constructive simulations.

In 1995, I worked as a field engineer for Coryphaeus Software (renamed Centric Software), of Los Gatos, CA. This company developed and sold a suite of software tools for visual simulation. Though I changed hats from end-user to vendor, I was able to apply my expertise to a wide variety of customers.

In 1997, I founded My3D, LLC--a company focused on the design and integration of visual simulation capabilities in both commercial and government applications.
