Jane Routley is an Australian writer based in Melbourne, Australia. Routley's first novel was Mage Heart which was published in the U.S. in 1996, followed by Fire Angels in 1998 and Aramaya in 1999. In 2000 all three novels were published in Australia. Dutch and German editions of the novels have also appeared. Fire Angels and Aramaya both won the Aurealis Award for Best Fantasy Novel in 1998 and 1999 respectively. Routley also published the novel The Three Sisters in the U.S. in 2005 under the peudonym Rebecca Locksley. Routley has also written a number of short stories and has been involved in editing and mentoring. In 1989 she won the Moonee Valley Library Short Story award for her story Red Roses.
