Kai Ephron, American/British Film Director and Producer, was born in NY in 1965. After an education in NYC and Seattle in alternative and public schools and stints in England and Tanzania, he was accepted into the High School of Performing Arts in NYC. After graduation he studied Drama at the State University of New York, College at Purchase where he received a BFA. Moving to Los Angeles in the late 80s to pursue his acting and producing career, he produced Sexual Intent in 1997 and acted in Lost Souls, Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th, Guinevere, Santa with Muscles and Flesh Suitcase, in which he co-starred with Corey Parker and Harold Gould and which he also produced. He completed work on the feature film, Benjamin Troubles in 2016 as Director and Producer. The film won an award for Best Script in the Indian Cine Film Festival in Mumbai and screened at the Santa Fe Film Festival, the Sedona International Film Festival and the Manhattan Film Festival in 2016. Prior to his first feature movie as a Director, Kai Ephron pursued a career as a Location Manager and scouted locations all over the USA and internationally. Some of the projects Kai was involved with were the Feature Films, Super 8, Inception in 2010, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2009,Eagle Eye 2008, Hancock 2008, Orgazmo 1998, The Opposite of Sex 1998 and But I Am A Cheerleader 2000, amongst others. Kai Ephron is the son of Olga Spiegel the Belgian artist known for Fantastic Realism and British born Michael Ephron, a musician. He has three siblings and lives in the Lincoln Heights area of Los Angeles with his twin sons.
