Michele Rondelli is a Swiss born interior architect educated in Switzerland and in Paris, France. He then worked for major architectural and design companies in the U.S. and Asia. His tasteful design approach and unique sense for Zeitgeist can be found in many international private projects but also in the public segment.
With a strong dedication to contemporary architecture and design, he opened his design practice in Spain in 2002, followed by a second office in Zurich in 2008 offering architectural, interior design and design consulting services to private and corporate clients, to architect and manufacturers. Rondelli lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland and Cadiz, Spain.
Being in the interior design and textile industry for over two decades, Michele Rondelli provides substantial experience in finishes and textiles. He and his team supports the planning team with knowledge and insight in their projects respecting, technical, and commercial conditions. Rondelli has also been conceiving various bespoke textile concepts custom fabricated for prestigious projects such as the Federal Government Palace in Bern, Switzerland or the Perez Art Museum in Miami, USA.Perez art museum
Rondelli counts also responsible for reputable interior design projects in which his sense for colours, spaces, light and finishes succeed the crossover from art to interior and to fuse a timelessly modern and tasteful lifestyle. It is not about the garment, it’s about the look and feel and the sensibiilty that’s embedded in the way he looks at and frames interiors. All that language one can find in his personal, price awarded work, the difference is impreceptible but visually stunning.
His passion for textiles become evident as a creative director for Couture label Jakob Schlaepfer Home Collection which he created from 2008 to 2015. Since 2015 he was appointed as the Creative Director for ZigZagZurich Zigzagzurich.comand 4Spaces 4spaces.ch, two innovative and leading textile labels brands headquartered in Zurich Switzerland.
Recently accomplished architectural works are the renovation of the historic Wandelhalle at the Government Palaces/ Bundeshaus in Bern , the Perez Art Museum Miami in collaboration with Herzog de Meuron Herzog & de Meuron, the new HQ of Swiss Re Next Swiss Re in collaboration with Diener&Diener Diener & Diener, and the BBVA HQ Madrid BBVA.
His work got awarded with the Red Dot Design Prize, Interior Design Contract Award 2016, Design Prize Schweiz 2016, Wallpaper Design Award 2018.
