The Titanic Three was a super villain group in the Earth 616 universe. The team consisted of Titanium Man, Radioactive Man and Crimson Dynamo. Radioactive Man is a Chinese villain and the other members were Soviet. They're nemeses included the Avengers, the Slasher and Iron Man. The Titanic Three were based in Vietnam and were associated with the Vietnamese government. They only appear in three comic books, one in the Iron Man series and the other two in the Avengers series. The group was short lived and reflected the impact of the Cold war on the Marvel Universe.

History

edit

The Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man served the communist nations and were essentially depicted villians. They faced several defeats by the Avengers and other heroes. Tired of their low individual victory ratio, they decided to become independent agents and no longer were associated with the Soviet government. Meanwhile, Radioactive Man was in another villian group called Thunderbolts. This group was defeated by the Lady Liberators and Radioactive man was sent to prison. From prison, he heard of Titanium Man and The Crimson Dynamo and their plan. He escaped prison and joined forces with them.

Formation

edit

The three traveled to Vietnam, another country controlled by the communists and ironically allied themselves with Vietcong. Brought together by the Vietnamese government, they called themselves the Titanic Three. Now being allied with the Vietcong, they had political affiliations that provided them with immunity. They were no longer viewed as villians but instead became the heroes of the Communist Vietnamese. They were not allowed to be attacked by Americans unless and until there were political complications.
