My name is Michel Ruurda. I am Australian, born and raised, a natural citizen and current resident of the Sunshine Coast (just above Brisbane) in beautiful Queensland. My career paths have allowed me to travel beyond Australia’s borders and I have been fortunate enough to personally experience other cultures and the intricacies of governing, banking and conducting business abroad. 2005, for example, found me Project Manager for a NATO Commercial development on a 12-month contract( this is again another outright lie-but it sounds so good). The project ultimately was valued at AUD$60 billion over ten years and the work of which I was a part continues today. (Valued in dream dollars-after being charged and disbarred for financial fraud in Australia - a NATO based country nor commonwealth one would ever hire me) I am happy to have been a part of such a noble effort and humbly realise that what I learned about security obligations and the needs of people in war-torn countries could only have been gleaned from hands-on experience.
