Aloha Tigers ... Aloha Tigers are a dream pop duo from Blooomington, IL consisting of singer/multi-intrumentalist Nick Aister and producer Michael Wharfield, who have just completed their first, self titled LP. Their sound is sad, hazy, hypnotic and blissed out, combining shoegaze, R&B , piano ballads, and classic pop hooks, with a heavy emphasis on dark, literate, and emotionally complex lyrics. Aloha Tigers’ early exposure has been overwhelmingly positive, including being singled out for Song of the Day on the Line of Best Fit with an early version of the album track “Oh, The Glory of It All”, and a recent post at newdust.com, who showered their praises on “Coven” and “Nice White People”, two B-sides from the upcoming album. They are currently looking to secure label representation and distribution for their forthcoming self titled LP.
