Termini Brothers Bakery Termini Brothers Bakery is one of the original Italian bakeries in Philadelphia.
History
editTermini Brothers Bakery was founded by brothers Gaetano and Giuseppe Termini through a business partnership founded in 1921. Gaetano Termini immigrated to the U.S. in 1918 and his brother, Giuseppi, followed him in 1921. Giuseppe learned the baking trade in Enna, Sicily, beginning as a baker's apprentice at the age of six. He took his recipes and his skills to the U.S. and together the brothers opened a modest bakery with living quarters above the business in the later part of 1921 at the original location, 1514 South 8th Street.
